Check pressure when cold.
Check tire pressure at least monthly and before longer trips. Use your vehicle’s tire information label or owner’s manual for the recommended pressure; the maximum printed on the tire is not the normal vehicle setting.
Look for wear and damage.
Inspect for cuts, bulges, cracks and uneven wear. Have a tire professional assess damage or changes in handling. Rotate tires according to the vehicle manufacturer’s recommendations.
