Clear information about what you share, how it is handled and the choices available to you.

DRAFT PREPARED Website Terms

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

This website is operated by Importation Exportation Z&W Canada Inc., operating as Farroad Canada (‘Farroad Canada’, ‘we’, ‘us’). Our Canadian head office is in Sainte-Philippe, Quebec, J0L 2K0. This policy describes how we handle personal information connected with this website and enquiries sent to our published email addresses.

The current site is an informational tire catalogue. It does not accept purchases, payments, account registrations or warranty submissions through a website form. Independent retailers, email services and websites reached through external links have their own privacy practices.

2. Information you share

When you email us, we receive your email address, message and attachments, together with any name, telephone number or business details you choose to include. Product enquiries may include tire size and vehicle details. Warranty enquiries may include purchase records, vehicle year, make and model, starting kilometres and rotation records.

Send only information relevant to your request. Do not email passwords, payment-card details, social insurance numbers or unrelated identity documents. Redact unrelated personal information from receipts and other attachments.

3. Website technology and cookies

The tire finder and catalogue filters process your entries in your browser. Our site code does not send those entries to a customer database. The current site does not include advertising pixels, marketing analytics or a newsletter sign-up.

Hosting and security services may process technical information such as IP address, requested pages, browser details and request times to deliver and protect the site. Platform-level cookies and logging must be confirmed with the hosting provider. Any future analytics or optional tracking will require an updated notice and consent controls where applicable.

4. Why information is used

Information supplied in an enquiry is used to understand the request, respond, provide relevant product or after-sales support, and maintain a record of the correspondence. A partnership enquiry may be routed to the team responsible for dealer relationships. We request additional information only when relevant to handling the enquiry.

Sending an enquiry is not a subscription to promotional emails. A separate permission process will apply if marketing subscriptions are introduced. We will explain a materially different use and seek consent when required.

5. Access, service providers and processing locations

Our published enquiry addresses forward to a central inbox. Messages are intended for personnel responsible for the enquiry. Hosting, email and technical support providers may process information to operate these services. Where a request requires a retailer or manufacturer’s involvement, we will explain the relevant sharing and obtain consent when required, unless another lawful basis applies.

Providers may process or store information outside Quebec or Canada, where local authorities may have access under local laws. Provider identities, processing locations and contractual protections must be verified before public release. We do not sell personal information or authorise its use for unrelated third-party advertising.

6. Retention and protection

Our retention approach is to keep information only for the time reasonably needed to answer the request, administer relevant support, meet applicable recordkeeping requirements or resolve a dispute. Information no longer needed is to be securely deleted or disposed of. Category-specific retention periods, including inbox, warranty and technical records, must be confirmed before public release.

Administrative, technical and physical protections must be appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. Access should be limited to authorised people with a business need. No email or online service can guarantee absolute security. Security practices and the incident-response process must be validated with the website operator and service providers.

7. Your choices, requests and concerns

Depending on the law that applies, you may request access to your personal information, ask for corrections, withdraw consent or request deletion or a portable copy where those rights apply. Legal exceptions and necessary retention requirements may limit a request. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity before disclosing records.

Contact info@farroadtire.ca with ‘Privacy request’ in the subject. Explain your request without sending sensitive documents initially. We will route your request to the person responsible for privacy matters for review and response within the applicable legal period. You may also contact the privacy regulator responsible for your jurisdiction, including the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

8. Updates and contact

The site is intended for drivers and business contacts, and is not directed to children. Contact us if you believe a child’s information has been submitted. We will update this policy when the site or our information practices change, show the revision date and provide additional notice or seek consent when required. Privacy enquiries: info@farroadtire.ca.
